Veetow Logo Custom Design
My friend reached out and asked me to design a logo for her streaming channel called Veetow.
In her words, she said she was looking for something simple, cute, and maybe a little sassy.

Overview and Constraints
My friend wanted it to be the V from her gamertag, and put a beanie hat on it with some kind of easy embellishment. The color scheme she chose was wine red and silver, with black for highlights.
There was no time frame for this project, and the visual design and creativity was left up to me.
Brainstorming
To start, I spent an hour sketching out 100 ideas for how this could look. This is an exercise I like to do to maximize my creativity, and come up with a large amount of ideas to go off of for the logo.
Digital
Three designs that looked promising. I added pictures of them to Adobe Illustrator so that I could trace them and bring them to life.
Iteration 1
My friend said the middle and left versions were her favorite. She wanted me to add on to it and see where it goes, since they were still fairly simple, but that they were looking awesome.
Iteration 2
I'd decided to work on the left version first. To make it more life-like I adjusted the colors and gradients. For an extra element, I added a game controller.
My friend loved the adjusted gradients, but the gaming icon was too much. She also thought the more linear V design would work a lot better for her style.
Iteration 3
Her recommendation was to add: "Something simple but attention grabbing, slightly intense with an effect, and a little sassy-like. Such as a small shadow effect and a different colored line to connect the two separate parts."
To do this I connected the V, removed the gradient to simplify the look, added a drop shadow for intensity, and put it on a free silver stock image.
Iteration 4
The next change was to make the hat to look more like a Neff beanie. This meant taking off the puff ball and making the hat wrinkle over toward the back end.
I chose a Google image with stripes to add some interest to the hat. After tracing it, I modified the shape slightly to get more hanging fabric in the back. Adding some shading gave it some dimension.
The Result
My friend loved how it turned out, and it had just the vibe she was looking for. I enjoy projects like this, and the creative challenge that goes into it.
